Science Summer School

Year 5 were fortunate to attend the Science Summer School Fair at Saint Paul’s Way Secondary School. The day was filled with fun, exciting and interactive activities that inspired the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for science.

The event began with a series of engaging TED-style talks from scientists, who shared how their work is helping to reduce food waste and protect endangered animals. The pupils then took part in an exciting science experiment involving dry ice, discovering how it reacts under different conditions.

The day concluded with a special tea party hosted by Professor Brian Cox. He spoke about his career in science and a selection of Year 5 pupils had the opportunity to ask thoughtful and insightful questions. It was a memorable experience that left the children feeling inspired and eager to learn more about the world of science.
