Year 5 Flatford Mills 2026

Our Year 5 children have had a fantastic time at Flatford Mill this week, enjoying three days of outdoor learning, exploration and adventure! From investigating animal footprints and setting mammal traps to hunting for mini-beasts, the children have been fully immersed in nature. They also explored the local village, learning about its history and its connections to the famous landscape painter John Constable, who drew inspiration from the surrounding countryside. Evenings have been just as memorable, with night walks, stargazing, campfire songs, riddles and hot chocolate! It has been a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their independence, strengthen friendships and make lasting memories. A huge thank you to Miss Mohammad, Miss Borrie and Mr Greaves for accompanying the children and making this experience possible!
